Continuing Professional Development in action at Mortgage Confidence

At Mortgage Confidence we are all about providing the most up to date professional advice.

So, as part of her continuing professional development, Jo recently attended a national mortgage conference in Oxfordshire to learn more about current financial trends and to network and share best practice with lenders and fellow advisors.

The event was run by HL Partnership, providers of technology, products, compliance support and services to mortgage and protection advisers.

HLP is the largest privately owned network in the UK with almost 600 advisers and over 300 firms.  Including Mortgage Confidence.

The conference looked at mega trends in banking, the impact of FinTech and Challenger banks and to what extent the industry is seeing green pressure from consumers.

There was also an extremely interesting presentation on some of the more surprising add-ons available with protection insurance (specifically critical illness cover and income protection).

Jo said: “It was a very full programme, but I believe it’s vital to keep up to date not just with regulatory and product changes but also emerging trends.  And to understand how they might impact our industry and, therefore, our customers.

“I enjoyed the opportunity to interact directly with lenders and to feedback about the various products.

“It’s also great to meet with other advisors, learn how they do things and exchange ideas on what works well and what…not so much!  I came back energised (if slightly tired!), informed and full of renewed enthusiasm for what I do.”

If you have a mortgage, re-mortgage or protection insurance issue you’d like to discuss then it’s worth remembering that Mortgage Confidence offers a free 30-minute telephone consultation.  So why not get in touch to get one arranged?
